Two hospitalized after car strikes limestone fence

WABAUNSEE COUNTY —Two people were injured in an accident just before 8:30a.m. Monday in Wabaunsee County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Ford Fusion driven by Neil Schuckman, 72, Scott City, was northbound on Kansas 99 seven and one half miles south of Alma.

While traveling around a left curve, the car traveled off the right side of the road, struck a 4-foot tall limestone rock fence wall and came to rest partially  in the east ditch. 

 EMS transported Schuckman and a passenger Laura Schuckman, 75, Scott City, to Stormont Vail in Topeka. They were both properly restrained, according to the KHP.
