History Alive, will be held Saturday at the Spring Valley Historic site on the west side of Junction City. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Activities will range from participation by historic reenactors to log cabin tours and hands-on demonstrations.
Director of the Geary County Historical Society, Heather Hagedorn, called it a reenactment weekend. "This year we're welcoming over 50 reenactors to the site. "
There will be tipis, a historic church service and examples of pioneer life to view and learn about history. The event is open to the public.
