Junction City Commisioners have elected Terry Butler to serve as the mayor of Junction City for the next year. Sam Yoskowitz was chosen to be the vice mayor. Both were recently elected to the city commission.
Butler, Yoskowitz and Kelly Niemczyk all took their oaths of office Tuesday night. They were elected to the commission by voters in November.
Running down appointments to local public boards and committees:
--Kelly Niemczyk will serve on both the Economic Development Commission and Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
--Terry Butler will be a member of the Military Affairs Council.
--Sam Yoskowitz will be on the Flint Hills Metropolitan Organization and the aTa Bus Board.
--Richard Pinaire will serve on the Flint Hills Regional Council with Terry Butler serving as a backup.
