○ Fall is in the air, and we’re ready to celebrate all the cozy vibes with you! Join us in Downtown Junction City for an evening filled with crisp autumn air, seasonal fun, and community spirit. Local shops will be open late with festive specials, fall-themed treats, and unique finds. Enjoy hands-on activities, family-friendly entertainment, and a vibrant lineup of vendors and organizations bringing free fall fun to the heart of our town. Whether you’re sipping cider, painting pumpkins, or shopping under the golden leaves, Fall Downtown is the perfect way to enjoy the season and support local.

Embark on a journey in Downtown JC that's sure to bring chilling tales, delightful ales, and lots of frightful fun! Junction City Main Street Market  - This Saturday, September 13th, don’t miss the Special Olympics at the Market! Enjoy an inclusive, high-energy adaptive dance session that welcomes all abilities to move, groove, and have fun! Everyone’s invited to dance and celebrate together. Join us in spreading positivity by covering a Sheriff’s vehicle with encouraging Post-it Notes for Special Olympics athletes and the wider community! Grab a marker, write a message, and stick it on! Then, on September 20th, the Market will feature Junk in the Trunk! Instead of hosting a garage or yard sale, come be part of Junk in the Trunk and let your junk be another person’s treasure. Interested in having a booth? Register here! Both events run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and are free and open to all.

Flags of Geary County: “Proudly United, Community Ignited”

2026 is America’s 250th birthday! To celebrate, Junction City Main Street invites you to take part in the Flag Project supporting multiple local organizations. For a small donation, Main Street will place and remove a leased 3x5 ft U.S. flag on a 10 ft pole in front of your home or business on seven major holidays throughout the year. Flags will not be displayed in the event of rain.

We are just a few weeks away from Oktoberfest! Save the date: Friday, October 3rd and Saturday, October 4th! Authentic German beer will be flowing, complemented by traditional Oktoberfest food and fun for the entire family. We'll host live music, kids fun zone, and competitions of strength, stamina & yodeling!
