Each year during the Christmas season local law enforcement officers have breakfast and go shopping with students identified by their school's Principal as in need of financial assistance in purchasing gifts for themselves or a family member.  The breakfast is held at the Second Missionary Baptist Church and shopping is done at Wal-Mart.

In addition to time spent with law enforcement while eating and shopping, students from USD 475 and St. Xavier's Catholic Schools are also given jackets, caps, or gloves if they need them.  Gifts for the students, their siblings or parents were wrapped by Re/Max staff during last year's event.

JC Breakfast Optimist donated $200.00 to help defray the cost of purchases for students to have a better celebration at Christmas time.
