Darlene Wilkerson, 90 of Council Grove, KS, was called home on January 29, 2021 at Diversicare of Council Grove. &nbsp;She was born Oct. 13, 1930 to Floyd and Lula Adams. Darlene married Bill Wilkerson on August 9, 1953.&nbsp;

Darlene was well known throughout the Council Grove community as a realtor. She took pride in her sales at the city lake and treated it like an industry. Her home at the lake was one of her favorite places. Prior to real estate, Darlene touched many lives as a teacher and earned the Master Teacher Award in 1974.

She enjoyed living life to the fullest and loved to travel.&nbsp; She was a certified scuba diver and loved being on the ocean. If she wasn’t traveling, you were likely to see her in the Hays House or early mornings swimming and exercising at the Life Center.

Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Wilkerson and her siblings: Denman, Louise, Minnie, Helen, Jack and Dorothy.&nbsp; She is survived by her son Doug Wilkerson; grandchildren: Colman, Blair and Sierra Wilkerson; two great grandchildren; and her dear friend Belinda LeMay.

At Darlene’s request, she was cremated and no services will be held.&nbsp;
