Kelly Niemczyk is running for a seat on the Junction City Commission. She has worked as a real estate agent and business owner.
"I believe our city government should put people first with accountability, transparency and fiscal responsibility. "
Niemczyk noted that she has managed budgets and people. "I think I know what it takes to balance the priorities and to get the results that we haven't gotten." She wants to ensure that tax dollars are used wisely, everybody feels heard and Junction City thrives.
Niemczyk supports reasonable growth and noted that the city's population is decreasing. She wants to assure infrastructure and businesses are taken care of but more than that the people. Protection of property rights, encouragement of local business development, maintaining a balanced budget and spending and investing money wisely are other priorities.
Other candidates for city commission include Sam Yoskowitz, Joe Markley, Jim Germann, Robert Laster and Terry Butler. Three seats on the commission are up for election.
The election is November 4.
