Donkey Ball Press Release

Liniment in large doses will be the call for some hearty local residents when Dairyland Donkey Ball, from Chippewa Falls, Wl, brings their real live donkeys to town for a Donkey Baseball Show. It is baseball played on real, live donkeys and it will be "Wilder than a Rodeo and Funnier than a Circus!" All local players will be riding, so come out and see someone you know try to ride a donkey and play baseball at the same time! It's a thrill a minute, a spill a minute! Laugh as you've never laughed before at the wild and crazy Donkey Baseball Show!

Come watch as local Donkey Jockeys try their hand at playing baseball while riding donkeys with names like Widowmaker, Killer, Elvis, Super Stupid, and COVID-19! Fun rules like the -infield must be "mounted up" when the first pitch is made, each jockey is welcome to wear whatever padding they'd like to bring, and the Donkey Jockeys are responsible for their own donkey's fallout unless a "Comedy" Sanitation Crew is provided to make it fun for each and every spectator. Batters can't strike out while batting, those are counted up as they attempt to navigate to 1st base on their crazy donkey.

-- The Donkey Baseball game is a joint fundraiser for Freedom Fest JC, and the Junction City Brigade Baseball Club. The games will be played at Rathert Field, on Wednesday, July 22, and will begin at 7:00 p.m.

Tickets are $10 per person and will be available for purchase at the gate at Rathert Field on Wednesday night.
