Mary Elizabeth Damman, 83 died August 24, 2022 in Linn, KS. She was born on December 11, 1938 in Garnett, Kansas the daughter of Ora and Ida Cunningham. Mary grew up in the Lane community and was a Class of 1956 graduate of Lane High School. She married Thurl Damman on September 19, 1959. Mary Worked as a Secretary at the White House during the Eisenhower and Kennedy administrations. They farmed in the Palmer community when they returned to Kansas. Mary also worked as a waitress at the Linn American Legion, as a CNA at the nursing home and as a bookkeeper for many businesses. Thurl preceded her in death on July 7, 2000. In her free time, Mary enjoyed gardening in her strawberry patch, quilting and playing games with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church. Mary was also preceded in death by her parents, 5 sisters and 4 brothers.
