Junction City, KS (April 01, 2024) – Junction City Animal Shelter is set to receive a $20,000 grant investment from national nonprofit Petco Love in support of their lifesaving work for animals in Geary County.

Since its founding in 1999, Petco Love has invested $375 million in adoption and other lifesaving efforts.

“Our investment in Junction City Animal Shelter is part of more than $15M in investments recently announced by Petco Love to power local organizations across the country as part of our commitment to create a future in which no pet is unnecessarily euthanized,” said Susanne Kogut, president of Petco Love.

“These lifesaving investments from Petco Love are SO important for shelters like us- simply because we have big plans and need a little help to care for our pets and the community alike. We are amazed at the work Petco Love does and are deeply moved that they decided to partner with us and support us right back!” said Vanessa Gray, Director of Junction City Animal Shelter.

Junction City Animal Shelter is a governmental organization that serves its community as the animal control center, adoption center, and resource center for all pets and pet parents serving Geary County.
