The 2024 Geary County Free Fair will be held July 21-25. The information was contained in a report to the county commission by Fair Board President Amy Blockowsky and county agricultural extension agent Kyler Langvardt.
This will be the 98th year for the fair. It is open to both 4-H and open class participants.
The fair will open with the horse show and tractor pedal pull Sunday July 21. It will be preceded by the Junction City Rodeo July 19-20.
In 2023 the fair 4-H livestock and project auction raised more than $50,000 for county youth. Another highlight during the past year was the replacement of the beef barn roof.
