Geary County Rural Fire responded to a small grass fire in t he 11000 block of Lower McDowell Road about 10:15 a.m. Saturday.
Rural Fire Chief Garry Berges estimated that about four acres burned. There were no injuries. The cause of the fire was attributed to some discarded materials that were still warm and rekindled.
