General Gordon Sullivan, U.S. Army Retired, died 2 January 2024. He was 86.

The President of the Society of the 1st Infantry Division, LTG US Army Retired, Ron Watts, said General Sullivan had a long history with the U.S. Army and the 1st Infantry Division. His major assignments included: Commanding General, 1st Infantry Division: July 1988-1989; Chief of Staff, U.S. Army: 1991-1995; President, Society of the First Division: 1996-2003.

General Sullivan lived a life of service to his Country, and the 1st Infantry Division.
