RILEY COUNTY—A Manhattan man was injured in an accident just after 4:30p.m. Wednesday in Manhattan.
A 2000 GMC Sonoma driven by Lyle Phinney, 70, of Manhattan was eastbound on Allen at Casement Road in Manhattan, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.
A 2012 Toyota Camry driven by Rebecca Coates, 39, Manhattan, struck the back driver side area of the pickup as it entered the intersection, according to the RCPD.
EMS transported Phinney to Via Christi for treatment of his injuries and later released. Police also issued Phinney a citation for failure to yield the right of way at a stop sign.
