"Prehistoricc Creatures of Kansas" will be the program this Saturday, March 18th at the Geary County Historical Society Museum, 6th and Adams Streets, Junction City. The event runs 1 to 3:30 p.m. and is part of the GCHS "STEAM SATURDAY" series. It is co-sponsored by the Milford Nature Center.
There is no admission for the program open to children and adults. It is an afternoon of getting to learn what Kansas would have been like millions of years ago, according to Lisa Caitlin Highsmith, Director of Programs and Education at the museum. Activities will include creating unique artwork; excavating a dig site like a Paleontologist; and participation in a "Timeline Toss" to win a dinosaur egg. The Nature Center will have Kansas fossils for visitors to see.
