The 115th annual Labor Day Celebration is set for this weekend in Chapman. The theme of the parade at 2 p.m. Monday will be "To the Stars - Remembering Joe Engle." The family of Joe Engle will serve as grand marshals for the parade.
Engle was born in Abilene and raised in Chapman where he attended primary and secondary school and graduated from Dickinson County High School in 1950. He flew space shuttle missions for NASA.
