Floats, motorcycles, JCHS Marching Band, the Grinch and Santa Claus were all part of the Junction City Area Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade Friday night.
A new parade route ran from the Konza Prairie Community Health Center parking lot to Grant Ave. and then down Washington Street to Heritage Park which was lit up by Christmas decorations.
Parade winners included the Mayor's Award which went to the Geary County Sheriff's Office Community Engagement Team, Chamber Award to the Highwind Brewing Company, Founders Award to the Junction City Middle School Chess Club, Youth Award to Next Step Dance Studios and the Geary County Commission Award which went to the First United Methodist Church.
