The ongoing EMS issue between Geary County and Junction City included another chapter on Tuesday. County Commission Chairman Keith Ascher noted that the staff will meet and figure out the November - December bill owed by the county to the city and then report back to the county commission next Monday. He mentioned an approximate $91,000 amount for November. December must still be determined.
Ascher feels it's important to settle up with the city for 2023. He noted, "I think we're really close."
If the county governing body approves a resolution next Monday it could then go to the city commission Jan.16.
