The general election for school board, city commission and city council races is scheduled Nov. 7.
There are candidate forums scheduled in Junction City in the near future. They include the Democratic Party sponsored forum Oct. 12 from 6-8 p.m. at the 4-H / Senior Center, Chamber of Commerce forum Oct. 12 on Oct. 16 from 6-8 p.m., and the NAACP and Geary-Riley-Saline alumni chapter of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority will collaborate on a school board - Junction City Commission forum Oct. 19 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at the Church of the Covenant in Junction City.
There are four seats up for election on the USD 475 Board of Education, and three on each of the Junction City Commission, Grandview Plaza City Council and Milford City Council.
Candidates for the school board include Ron Johnson, Kristy Haden, Anwar Khoury, Bryan Bliss, Jim Schmidt and Tom Brungardt.
For the Junction City Commission they are Pat Landes, Matthew Bea, Al Gordon, Lorraine Ceniceros and Richard Pinaire.
The Milford City Council race includes Gayle Edmiston, Dennis Bolte and Jeff Roether.
In Grandview the city council candidates that have filed for election include Marvin Edison and Ronald Woods.
