St. Francis Xavier’s Schools, with the assistance of St. Xavier’s Catholic Schools Junior Optimist Club, helped make this year’s Tackle Hunger Food Drive a huge success! A total of 5,360 food and hygiene items were collected, surpassing last year’s total by 3, 260 items.
Kindergarten earned a pizza party for being the class that donated the most items. Congratulations to the entire staff for their hard work, and special thanks to those who helped organize the event and deliver the donations to the Geary County Food Pantry.
The JC Breakfast Optimist Club sponsors the St. Xavier’s Catholic Schools Junior Optimist International (JOI) Club. The adult club’s facilitator to the JOI Club is Ricardo Gutierrez.
