JUNCTION CITY, Kan. – Geary County Schools USD 475 has announced that it had 2,736 students from throughout the district earn the 95-0-3.0 Thrive Award for the first semester.
“I am incredibly proud of all of our students who were able to receive this honor the first semester. Our teachers and staff have been really working hard this school year and this just highlights that their efforts are truly making a difference both in and out of the classroom,” said Dr. Reginald Eggleston, USD 475 Superintendent of Schools.
Overall, USD 475 had 1,709 students receive the award at its elementary schools, while 1,027 students were honored at the secondary level.
To receive this honor, students, who have been recognized at their respective schools with a special certificate throughout the months of January and February, had to achieve 95% attendance, 0 discipline referrals and a 3.0 GPA during the first semester.
