Junction City, KS — Jordan McCann has announced her resignation as Executive Director of Junction City Main Street due to an upcoming military PCS move for her family. McCann will remain in the position with the expectation to fully transition out of the role by October 24, 2026.
The Executive Director position will officially be posted on June 3, 2026, as the organization begins the search for its next leader.
Since becoming Executive Director in 2024, McCann has helped lead Junction City Main Street through a period of growth and momentum, including expanded downtown revitalization efforts, increased investment, strengthened partnerships, public art initiatives, entrepreneurial programming, and statewide and national recognition.
“It is with a very heavy heart that I announce my resignation from Junction City Main Street,” said Jordan McCann. “I am deeply saddened to leave this community. Junction City quickly became home for my family over the past five years, and I will forever be indebted to everyone who believed in me to lead this organization. While this next chapter takes our family elsewhere, Junction City will always hold a special place in my life.”
The Junction City Main Street Board of Directors will work closely with McCann over the coming months to ensure a smooth transition for the organization, its programs, and community partners.
McCann and her family will be relocating to Fort Benning, Georgia, and Junction City Main Street extends its sincere appreciation for her leadership and service while wishing the family continued success in this next chapter.
