RILEY COUNTY—Law enforcement investigating a vehicle theft have made an arrest.
Just after 1:30a.m. Wednesday, officers filed a report of vehicle theft in the 1900 block of Crescent Drive in Manhattan, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.
An 85-year-old woman reported a suspect known to her stole her 2002 Ford F-150.
Just after 2 a.m., police arrested 33-year-old Michael Brooks of Manhattan, in the 900 block of Humboldt Street on requested charge of criminal deprivation of property, driving while suspended, possession of marijuana, interference with a law enforcement officer and trafficking of contraband into correction facility.
He met the requirement of a $7,500 and is no longer in custody.
