Number of items collected and the amount of cash received for the Stuff the Bus school supply effort have been calculated by Junction City - Geary County United Way.
According to Nichole Mader, Director, there were a total of 7,009 items collected including:
--163 backpacks
--73 adopt-A-Backpacks
--239 3-ring binders
--556 composition books
--849 boxes of crayons
--$2,237.12
There were 232 volunteer hours.
School supplies for children were donated to 19 schools including all schools in USD 475, St. Xavier and Chapman USD 473.
