LAWRENCE, Kan. — Kansas football was one of the five teams scheduled to appear in Arlington at the 2021 Big 12 Media Days, but the first public appearance for the Jayhawks under new Head Coach Lance Leipold will have to wait.
Due to sever weather in the Lawrence area, Leipold and the select players scheduled to appear were unable to depart from the local airport to get to the event in the Dallas area.
Announced in a tweet by Kansas Football, Kwamie Lassiter II and Kenny Logan Jr. stated they gated they couldn't make it, but plan to post some behind the scenes action the rest of the day.
The Jayhawks will open the Lance Leipold era on Friday, September 3rd against South Dakota.
