Chapman Archery hosted their first tournament of the season with the Holiday Shoot held on Saturday, December 17 at the Chapman District Gym. Archers participated from Chapman and three other schools including Chanute Christian Academy, Herington, and Prairie Hills Middle School.
In the team competition, Chapman won first place in both the high school and middle school divisions. Individual top ten tournament honors included:
Chapman High School Boys 1st - Ben Griffis, 2nd - Travis Leasure, 3rd - Nathan Hutzenbiler, 4th - Hayden Sutterfield, 5th - Clayton Carson, 6th - Aiden Rowley, 7th - Colt Dester, 8th - Logan Gunderson, 9th - William Strauss
Chapman High School Girls 1st - Reagan Morris, 2nd - Brigan Hanney, 4th - Teyah Workman, 5th - Lillian Rutz, 6th - Chesney Brackett, 10th - Syriana Olson
Chapman Middle School Boys 3rd - Kayden Westfall, 4th - Zaidyn Olson, 5th - Gerald (Junior) Gullion, 6th - Matthew Smith, 7th - Kason Britt

Chapman Archery, in partnership with Chapman Schools, is a member of the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP). Through archery, the program aims to improve educational performance among students by practicing focus, self-control, discipline, patience, and the life lessons required to be successful in the classroom and in life.
