MANHATTAN, Kan. – With the 2021 NFL season a week away, a total of 15 former Kansas State football players have found spots on NFL teams as organizations trimmed their rosters to 53 active players and practice squad members earlier this week.

Of the 15 players, eight are on defense and seven are on offense. The longest-tenured former Wildcats are Tyler Lockett (Seattle) and Cornelius Lucas (Washington) as both are entering their seventh seasons.

Four players from last year’s team are now on NFL rosters, which includes defensive end Wyatt Hubert (Cincinnati – IR), tight end Briley Moore (Tennessee – IR), cornerback AJ Parker (Detroit) and linebacker Elijah Sullivan (San Francisco – Practice Squad). Parker, an undrafted free agent, earned the nod on the Lions’ active roster with a great performance in training camp and in preseason games.

Kansas State opens the 2021 campaign on Saturday by taking on Stanford in the Allstate Kickoff Classic. The game, which is played at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, kicks off at 11 a.m., and will be shown on FS1.
