RILEY COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 7p.m. Thursday in Riley County.
According to the Riley County Police Department activity report, a vehicle driven by 24-year-old Antonio Casillas-Ventura of Fort Riley struck 50-year-old Lonny Scott who was in a wheelchair crossing at the corner of Leavenworth Street and North 4th Street. The wheelchair had struck ice and tipped over just before the crash.
EMS transported Scott to Via Christi for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
