According to information from the CVB they have reported that:

  1. Visitor spending in 2022 saw a third consecutive year of growth across all the spending categories. Geary County visitor spending in 2022 increased $3 million (3%) to reach $102 million, breaking the $100 million dollar benchmark for the first time.
  1. Employment supported by visitor activity increased by 13 jobs (2%) in 2022, reaching 879 jobs. Also, in 2022, tourism in Geary County supported 1-in-8 jobs.

Their analysis of the Geary County, Kansas visitor economy begins with direct visitor spending and analyzes the downstream effects of this spending on the broader economy.
