Geary County health officials confirmed on Thursday that there were five new positive COVID-19 cases that day while four people have recovered. So far since the pandemic began there have been 234 positive cases while 184 have recovered.
There are 48 active cases in the county and one person is hospitalized.
A total of 40.9 percent of the positive cases in the 31 to 50 year old age range, 31.8 percent in the 51 to 70 year old group, 15.9 percent in the 19 to 30 year old category.
Four-point-five percent of the cases are in the 11 to 18 group and 2.5 percent in the infant to 10-year old age range. Four and a half percent are over 70 years of age.
