Brig. Gen. Frank Stanco, acting senior commanding general of Fort Riley, has published COVID-19 General Order update number 15. The policy aligns with CDC and U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) guidance, requiring continuous facemask wear on Fort Riley while indoors public buildings or indoor military workspaces whenever community level is high or substantial.
As of March 14, the community level at Fort Riley is MEDIUM. Fully vaccinated individuals do not need to wear masks while indoors on Fort Riley with the exception of medical facilities and Riley CYS buildings to include child development centers. Unvaccinated personnel are still required to wear masks indoors and in non-socially distanced outdoor settings regardless of the COVID-19 community level.
Regarding USD 475 schools on Fort Riley, check with your student's school for mask policies. This week those schools are closed for spring break.
