4-H newsletter includes a number of upcoming activities

--Regional 4-H Day will be held Saturday, March 26th in Clay Center at the high school. The schedule is posted on the Geary County 4-H web site, according to the county's 4-H news letter.

--Leadership Clinic for current 2nd through 6th graders in 4-H will be held May 24th from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the 4-H / Senior Citizens Center. This event is being sponsored by the Geary County 4-H Ambassadors. RSVP by May 17th to Ginger Kopfer @ksu.edu or 785-238-4161.

--Purple Power Pack Day Camp will be held at Rock Springs Ranch 4-H Camp on Saturday, June 4th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This will be for 4-H youth that have completed grades one through five and counselors that are 14 by June 4th. This will be a taste of camp with your local extension agents. Register by May 1st.

Counselors will have a May 26th evening training and a June 4th-5th overnight experience after campers depart.

--Rock Springs Ranch will host an open house April 23 from 2-6 p.m. Families can visit Rock Springs to meet staff, tour the camp and get answers to questions. Tours will include the dining hall, cabins, activity center, pool, ropes course, horse barn and more.

--Geary County Free Fair is scheduled July 18th through the 21st at the 4-H Center. There are some pre-fair activities including the 4-H Public Revue, 4-H King and Queen announcement  July 14th, 4-H Dog Show on July 15th and 4-H Horse Show on the 17th.
