Year to date there have been 99 rural fire calls in Geary County, including two vehicle fires in recent days. The total of 99 compares with 120 at this time in 2023.
Also, Rural Fire Chief Garry Berges said that the annual appreciation for volunteers awards banquet will be Sunday night.
