The Junction City Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a meet-and-greet (Candidate Coffee) this Saturday, July 12th, with the candidates for the Junction City Commission before the August 5th primary election. The meet-and-greet is at the Blu Restaurant and Bar from 9-11 a.m.
10 candidates filed for election and have been invited to the meet-and-greet. The candidates are: William R. Arnold Jr., Terry Butler, Heath Gadberry, Jim Germann, Al Gordon, Robert Laster, Joe Markley, Kelly Niemczyk, John L. Tice, and Sam Yoskowitz.
Kelly Cook, the Director of Member Relations for the Chamber, said eight of the ten candidates have confirmed they will be in attendance. "Everyone can come out and meet the City Commission candidates before the August 5th Primary," Cook said. "Hopefully we can get all the candidates there, and then everyone will have a chance to meet with them and hear their ideas on how they plan to improve Junction City."
The primary election on August 5th will cut the City Commission candidate list down to six before the November 4th General Election.
