The Junction City / Geary County United Way Campaign Kick-Off will be October 10, and on Match Day October 15, there is a possibility that every dollar you give will be matched — doubling your impact in the community.
These events mark the beginning of another season of giving, volunteering, and coming together for the greater good. Whether it is mentoring youth, supporting food security, helping families in crisis, or contributing financially, there is a role for everyone in building a stronger, more connected community.
United way has also released an annual impact report for the organization.
Financial Assistance – Through a partnership with Community Actions (Topeka), they have been able to assist families with financial assistance for rent or utilities. In addition to financial assistance, this partnership has also provided diapers, gift cards for groceries and Thinx Period Panties. These items have been shared with other agencies and the school district.
