Arson investigation: Suspect used pickup to damage SUV

RILEY COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating alleged battery and arson involving a dispute in Riley County.

Just after 8p.m. Friday, officers filed a report for aggravated battery in the 12000 block of Blue River Hills Road, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.

 A 43-year-old man reported a 54-year-old suspect used his 2020 Dodge Ram and struck the victim's 2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser that was parked on the side of the road following an argument between the two.

A few hours later at 1a.m. Saturday, officers also filed a report for arson . in the 3800 block of W. 69th Ave. after responding to a report of the Dodge Ram that hit the victim's car was on fire. Riley County Fire District #1 responded as well to extinguish the fire.
