Dorothy Bramlage Public Library is announcing that their fifth StoryWalk ® JC will be available for the public to take part in, beginning this Friday, December 3rd. StoryWalk® JC is a program that allows families to take a walk and read a story at the same time. Downtown Junction City businesses have partnered with the library to help with this program by putting up pages of the story in their windows for patrons to read. This month’s story is A Charlie Brown Christmas by Charles M. Schulz. The StoryWalk® JC begins and ends at the Dorothy Bramlage Public Library. Participants can stop by the Young People’s Department for this month’s StoryWalk® JC activity sheet.
This month’s activity sheet is a simple match game. When you see the picture on the story pages in the windows of the local businesses, place a sticker on the matching picture on your story board. Once completed, participants can come back to the Young People’s Department to turn in their activity sheet for a PEANUT Prize – a Charlie Brown Christmas Puzzle. Last day to participate in StoryWalk®JC or receive a prize is December 20th.
Dorothy Bramlage Public Library would also like to remind the public that you can sign up for the Winter Reading program starting December 14th. Winter Reading will end February 8th. Also, the last day to get your orders in for the Cocoa and Cookies Fundraiser is Wednesday, December 8th. For more information about these events please contact the Dorothy Bramlage Public Library at 785-238-4311 or email [email protected] or [email protected].
