Junction City Commissioners have said no to a proposal to allow a country music concert at Rathert Field. Vaughn Sterling wanted to rent the ballpark for a concert on Aug. 3rd.
According to City Manager Allen Dinkel voting in favor of allowing the concert were Richard Pinaire and Pat Landes, while voting no were Jeff Underhill, Ronna Larson and Al Gordon.
Impact of holding the concert on the field was a key objection. Plans called for putting the stage on the outfield, and allowing those attending on the infield and in the stands.
