Junction City Commissioners learned about a variety of topics this week.
--There will be a legislative coffee at Bella's Italian Restaurant on March 28. Area state legislators will be invited to participate.
--Put this on your calendar. Some World Cup matches will be played in Kansas City in June and July. Visitors could stay up to 8-9 hours away, meaning some business could be received in Junction City..
--The City needs volunteers for the Earth Day event on Apil 18. Call Cindy Sinklier at the JCPD.
--Approval was given for purchase of 30 new Daniel Defense rifles for the JCPD. Asset forfeiture money will be used.
--There has been some dscussion about a possible Yard of the Month program.
--And a proposed city commission retreat will be delayed.
