RILEY COUNTY—A woman avoided serious injury after an accident just before 2:30p.m. Tuesday in Riley County.
A 2009 Buick Lucerne driven by Marilyn Johnson, 81, Riley, was northbound on Tuttle Creek Blvd. at Blue River Hills Road, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.
The Buick entered into the opposite lane and struck a southbound 2004 Ford dump truck driven by Garrett Huerter, 27, of Manhattan. EMS treated Johnson at the scene and released her. Huerter was not injured. The RCPD released no additional details.
