The Army announced that there will be a 1st Infantry Division Victory With Honors ceremony at Headquarters, Fort Riley, at 3 p.m. Monday.
1st Infantry Division Deputy Commanding General – Support, Brig. Gen. Matthew Hardman, will be honored.
Hardman has served more than 29 years in the U.S. Army. He’s commanded at every level from platoon leader to brigade commander.
Hardman deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan and previously served as the Commander of Operations Group at the Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk, Louisiana. Over the past two years he served as the Deputy Commander - Maneuver and the Deputy Commanding General - Support for the 1st Infantry Division.
