Positive COVID-19 case numbers in Geary County surged upward over this past weekend. There were 44 new positive cases and 21 recovered cases reported by the Health Department. Active cases in the county totaled 76.
Since the pandemic began there have been 556 confirmed positive cases and 475 total recovered cases.
One person from Geary County is hospitalized and five people have died.
