Groundbreaking for a new 81,000 square foot elementary school at 4720 Leonard Avenue on Fort Riley will be held March 4th at 1 p.m. This will be a 390 student capacity school that will be built on the same land where Jefferson Elementary School was previously located.
According to a release from Geary USD 475 the project will be a collaborative effort between the district, Fort Riley, Hutton Construction and SJCF Architecture. The school will serve prekindergarten through fifth-grade students.
Those attending the event March 4th will hear from state, local and military leaders, district representatives and see student performances along with the groundbreaking.
