KAAAC to Host Congressional District 2 Community Town Hall in Junction City on Saturday

JUNCTION CITY, KS — The Kansas African American Affairs Commission will host the Congressional District 2 Community Town Hall on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Second Missionary Baptist Church, 701 West 10th Street, Junction City, Kansas.

The Town Hall will be co-hosted by Commissioner Dr. Crystal J. Davis and Commissioner Jade Ramsdell and will provide a community listening space to elevate the voices, priorities, and solutions of Black Kansans across District 2. Doors will open at 10:30 AM for community welcome, registration, informational tables, and a light brunch.

This Town Hall is about listening with intention and building community-driven next steps,” said Dr. Crystal J. Davis. “We want residents to share what is working, what needs support, and what they want prioritized across Kansas Congressional District 2, including the 24 counties fully within the district and the portions of Douglas, Jackson, and Wyandotte Counties that are also part of District 2.
