Blue Jays go 3-2 in a dual tournament

The Junction City Men's Wrestling Team hosted a dual tournament Saturday at Junction city High School. Coach Rick Bazan said that Junction City got off to a good start going 3-2 on the day. The Blue Jays beat Wichita Heights 66-11, Wichita West 51-24 and Shawnee Heights 39-35. They lost to #3 ranked Washburn Rural 46-33 and Hays 44-35.

Winning records on the day were (113) Riley Luckenbill 5-0 with 5 pins, (126) Jayden Melton 4-1, (175) Cody Owens 4-1, (165) Christian Simmers 4-1 and (215) Chris Coy 4-1. Going 3-2 on the day were (106) Colden Blockcolsky, (138) Kayun Herring and (157) Tyler Proetti.

JCHS will be in action again this Saturday at the Shawnee Mission Northwest Tournament.
