At Tuesday's meeting of the Junction City Commission, commissioners will consider award the bid for the 2023 street maintenance program.
The low bid for the series of project is Manhattan-based Bayer Construction Co. at a cost of $1.66 million.
The other bidder was APAC, whose bid came in at $1.9 million.
While the low bid came in over the city's original estimate, staff will recommend to the commission Bayer's bid be accepted.
In other business, the commission will:
• Consider selling 8 acres of city property off of Ethan Drive to Joaquin and Ann Contreras (pictured).

• Consider the purchase of a 2021 ambulance at a price of $190,398 from Braun Northwest. The vehicle would replace one totaled in a September accident.
