The Geary County Treasurer’s Office will be mailing the 2025 Tax Statements on Friday, November 21. Last year, after finding an issue with information getting to the mortgage companies, the Treasurer’s office spent two months entering information into the software system. Treasurer Sherri Childs said with this year’s tax statements, that they have discovered some of the mortgage company’s data did not roll into the 2025 tax year.
If you receive a tax statement that should have gone to your mortgage company, please ignore it. We are working with the mortgage companies directly to provide any tax statements they are missing. We have also reached out to the software provider for guidance in alleviating this issue going forward.
