Dorothy Bramlage Public Library officials have been working with architects on a plan to expand the structure at its current location. According to Susan Moyer, Library Director, the plan would increase the current facility size by almost 50% or approximately 7,000 square feet. Expansion would occur on one level.
The next step is to search for money for the project. A total of $1.1 million has been set aside but the estimate on the amount needed is in the $8-10 million range. Private funding including public and private grants will be sought but there is not a timeline. Library officials have been working with BBN Architects of Manhattan.
Dorothy Bramlage Public Library is located at 230 W. 7th Street.
