GEARY COUNTY—Four people were injured in an accident just before 7:30a.m. Sunday in Geary County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2020 Chevy Colorado driven by Tamara L. Kemp, 20, Kalamazoo, Michigan, was westbound on Interstate 70 just west of Humboldt Creek Road.
The driver fell asleep. The pickup struck the guardrail and rolled. The pickup was pulling a trailer. It detached and came to rest in the median.
EMS transported Kemp and passengers Christine T. Hoadley, 59, Galesburg, Michigan, an 8-year-old and an 11-year-old boy to Stormont Vail hospital-Flint Hills. All four were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
