Volunteers work to clean up trash on East Chestnut

Volunteers including a large group of female veterans worked to pick up trash on East Chestnut Street in Junction City on Saturday. The event was led by Phyllis Fitzgerald who said East Chestnut is one of the main corridors coming into the community. "When people come off the interstate whether they're going east or west, and they come through that traffic circle, that's one of the first impressions they're going to get of our community.
